This is the Cafe Malta brought to you by Kaldi's Coffee Roasting Co. Cafe Malta is a vestal blend, combining coffees that stand up well during long roasting. A great espresso for those who like to drink short, strong, and dark shots with a rich golden crema. We like this blend for its rich roasted flavor that excites the dark roast connoisseur. This blend is rich with notes of smoke and dark chocolate.
Great stuff! I had to adjust my water ratio a little bit since this one was so dark but once I got it right bam! Delicious chocolate notes that can't do you wrong...
Cafe Malta was good I could not say it was better or worse than the previous roast. I would call equal to the previous roast. I would put this coffee in the roast category. There was no acidic or sour flavors. The beans are pretty much on par with what I typically drink.
Just didn't have anything special about its flavor.
Nice and rich.
One of the best coffees that I have had!
Very roasty but I enjoyed the chocolateyness of it.
Loved this one!

Smooth, decently balanced but a little thin. We tasted more of a toffee flavor than chocolate. A short finish, but nice color and crema.
Perspective: this is the first coffee I've ever had without tons of cream and sugar so my tastes are...evolving. This was not a horrible coffee to drink though the bitterness was a bit strong. I really don't like smoke as a taste in any food but was willing to try. Didn't taste any chocolote notes at all but that's probably my taste buds not recognizing nuanced flavor yet. Overall ok.
Smooth and first pot was a little light. I think I would like it a tad stronger for mornings.
This coffee has a distinct, sweet smell, but I'm having trouble pinpointing the flavor profiles I'm getting out of both shots and pourovers. I think the "smokey" notes are a little overpowering, and I'm not really getting any chocolate taste out of it as a result. Would definitely prefer something less smokey next time around.
Dear Seth, THIS coffee. Man. What can I say? It's very very very good, we loved it.
Smooth, easy to drink, chocolatey. The office enjoyed this one a lot!
This one was tasty! It was very rich and I liked the hint of smoke.
Really nice again, enjoyed the chocolatey notes.
This coffee falls a little flat for me. I like the aroma, and it starts with a nice dark roasted flavor with some baking chocolate, but doesn't go any farther. This coffee really wakes up with some sweetness from a cookie or donut, but on its own I think it lacks a little depth.
Nice chocolate bitterness on the sides, this coffee is a bit flat as a drip cup. I couldn't taste or smell much complexity. However, that was not true in a mocha pot, were the singleness of the flavor seemed rich and deep.
Smells good but too toasted or roasty for us when we drink it.
I like this one more than the Dillanos, but I am learning i like slightly lighter roasts.
Almost tastes as good as coffee smells!
a little too dark for my taste. very strong. probably delicious for an espresso. but okay for aero-press.
Rich flavor. Mild smoke on the finish
Very smooth, great body
this has been a solid cup of coffee! Great for drip coffee, and excellent cold!
Really enjoy this coffee on my drive into work. Isn't bitter, very rich flavor, and tastes great even to my girlfriend (who isn't big on coffee at all)
I like it.
I found it to be too light. I made it twice, the second time I cut down on the water to coffee ratio and it was still too light
There is very little depth to the flavor. The coffee tastes pretty flat, borderline burnt.
Very good coffee. A little darker roast that I would usually shy away from. I'm glad I'm enjoying it!!
Too strong for my liking.
The beans are dark brown and oily with a smoky and deep scent. I smelled a hint of cinnamon, too. The coffee brewed into a deep brown color (not black) and, while it was fairly balanced, I tasted an earthiness that I didn't expect. I enjoyed this blend and would try it again.
I didn't really care for this one. I thought it was kind of bitter.
