The Costa Rica La Joya was carefully roasted for you by Good Folks Coffee. This honey processed coffee was grown by Ronald Quiros in the Altos del Abejonal region of Costa Rica at 1,800 meters above sea level. Honey processed coffees are distinctive in their restrained, yet surprisingly sweet profile. This coffee has notes of chocolate as well as a lovely vibrant fruity acidity.
Solid roast: both this Costa Rican and the previous one I had are super reliable for a good cup of coffee. They're nice and fruity, but not the kind that are overwhelming. Very balanced coffee, very delicious.
This coffee is awesome! Delicate, but still comfy, and those plum and cake notes come out strong, especially after it cools down. I also get some notes of blueberry in there, which may be a result of the honey processing. Love it!
It was a pretty good cup of coffee. I tried it for both Chemex and the French Press. However, for both types there was still a slight bitterness that transferred to the cup. Nonetheless, solid coffee and enjoyed it.
Coffee has great flavor and best enjoyed hot over cold brew style.
Good and smooth, but too fruity for me. I would prefer something with more of a coffee flavor. I would like to try something a little less sweet for my next coffee.
Solid, aromatic, fresh!
Smooth, well balanced, fruity overlay. Freshness readily apparent. First bag of coffee from MistoBox and couldn't be happier.
Pretty good. I definitely prefer more fruitiness in my coffee, along with some honey. Body was pretty good.
Very sweet coffee with a very smooth finish. Not as complex as I'd prefer but a very good, drinkable cup.
