The Organic Driftless Dark Blend was blended and roasted for you by Kickapoo Coffee Roasters. Coffees from Central America were carefully chosen and blended together. This combination of coffees create a unique harmony of flavors that are greater than the sum of its parts. This dark roast is a perennial favorite among lovers of rich, full bodied coffee with notes of dark chocolate, toffee and almonds.
Wonderfully nutty and chocolatey. Just not a dark roast.
Decent blend but flavors were a little too subtle.
Mysetup. Haro Hand Grinder, Malita Pour Over. Perfer 200º on the pour.
Everyu detail about this roast is spot on. i can only say, the hint of almond seamed like a suttle hazelnut when ground up very fine.
smooth, sexy and delish
Very well balanced flavors which I love. I like the nut and chocolate profile. The best one so far!
A little bit lighter than I typically like
Definitely liked this one better than the first one. Liked the level of the roast, but maybe not as full-bodies as he would like it to be. Did not think it was acidic or bitter at all. Felt it almost had too many fruit notes that conflicted with the roast level if that makes sense. Sending you an email with our impressions of some other coffees for your review.
Can really taste the chocolatety nutry flavor. Strong and smooth!
Dark, but very bitter
EVERYONE at the office loves this coffee. Best one so far!
This was one of my favorites so far as well. Great flavor. Nice and deep.
it had a sour after taste
Brew method: medium fine grind, aeropress 2 scoops.
Mildly fragrant, classic dark roast aroma.
Grainy mouth feel, medium bodied, bright acidity. Well balanced. Chocolate on the back burner, not quite anything to brag about, but very good afternoon coffee.
this has a lingering chocolate(?) flavor that is excellent, more pronounced aftertaste than Bell's - this is my favorite so far.
also the degree of roast (dark, but not oily) is perfect for my espresso machine - Bell's was similar and both took very fine grinds and made excellent shots.
Had this one twice and I've loved it so far. Very rich and smells delicious.
I really liked this coffee, it was very rich and full-bodied; exactly as advertised! Definitely on the darker side of a typical Central American blend. Everyone I made this for loved it!
a little weaker than the last few I had , but still very good
Smooth, nice body (not too full), with taste of dark chocolate notes, perhaps toffee. Slight nutty (less than AKA BFF Blend), so I prefer this one. To expand my palate, I am changing my "Preference settings" to a Medium roast and add "Fruity" flavor, unless there is one more you already selected and think I should really try (in line with Kaldi French Roast sort of flavor)?
This is simply the best coffee I have ever had. Ordered a big bag from Kickapoo!
Perfect for me. Thank you Wisconsin!
Comes exactly as advertised. Hits all of the buttons in my book. Smooth, bold, flavorful and enjoyable to drink.
This one was a bit lighter than the last. I tend to like coffee with low acidity and bitterness. This coffee has a bit of a soil like taste. I think I like the first roast a bit more. I could try something more acidic, full bodied with caremel and nutty notes. Part of the reason I am using you guys is to expand my palate for coffee
Really disappointing. It is more like drinking tea.....
I liked the flavors. I'm using an Aeropress and had to play around with the amount of coffee for each cup. At first it was too mild for me, but once I started adding more than one scoop, the flavors came out and it was strong enough.
Amazing taste. Full bodied with great flavor. You can make it strong or light, and it will still taste great. I can drink this coffee every day.
This coffee was very weak in flavor I had to add some darker coffee to drink it.
Love this Coffee!
Not quite a four, tendency to be a little sour
A bit acidic for my taste
I like Mescal which has a smokey flavor but this was a smokey burned tobacco flavor.
