The El Salvador Vicente Rafael Diaz was carefully roasted for you by Populace Coffee. Grown by the Vincente Rafael Diaz on his farm El Durrumbe in the Chalatenango region at 1,350 meters, this fully washed coffee is a perfect example of why we love coffees from El Salvador. This coffee is balanced and delicate with a range of notes from citrus acidity, caramel sweetness and baking spice complexity.
Such a treat to have a slight nutmeg-y, cinnamon-y quality popping up here and there. Very well balanced. Nothing "ruled the roost" here.
I haven't had a bunch of El Salvador coffees but this one was great. It has great flavor and is delicious in a french press.
I originally wrote the wrong review under this coffee. Here's an updated review:
I unfortunately didn't like this coffee at all. My main critique is that the coffee, overall, tasted somewhat bitter and overly strong (almost like a red wine). I very well could have brewed it wrong or maybe something's off with my taste buds, but that's my take on it!
Pretty solid coffee. Not the best cup I've ever made, but it's a pretty consistent brew.
Populace makes exllent coffee. Robust, very well balanced. Perfect!
