This is the Globe Trotter Blend brought to you by Good Folks Coffee. Coffees from Brazil, Colombia, and Honduras were carefully chosen and blended together. Simple and straightforward, this coffee is intended to appeal to a wide audience of coffee lovers. Brown sugar, dark chocolate and nutty flavors are highlighted in this thoughtful dark roast, blended intentionally with coffees that can stand up to the intense roast.
I liked the darker roast this time. More like this!
Very nice coffee! Although a lighter roast than I typically like, I enjoyed the nuttiness, chocolate flavor and the notes of toffee at the end.
We both thought this was a good bean.
Personally preferred the Red Rooster's French Roast Organic Blend, but very good and quite complex. Wife loved this one.
Really enjoyed this one. Definitely a darker coffee and can pick up the brown sugar/nutty flavors.
Description wise this is the perfect coffee - sugar, dark chocolate, and nutty flavors - but the flavor profile is not as strong as I would've liked. I still enjoyed it and would definitely drink it again (and anything with a similar flavor profile).
Update, in a french press this coffee is hard to beat! Honestly unimpressive otherwise but on point in a french press!
I felt the initial bite which is excellent and good body but the end note was too floral (maybe not the right word) and sweet for me. I like something that has a stronger body and a little less of the sweet ending. I don't want to shudder but I do want it be distinct This coffee also brewed a bit lighter than I had hoped. I use the pour over method.
I like a little darker and bolder. Will try brewing in French Press and see if that makes a difference. A little light and bitter for my taste on first pass. Thanks! (I generally drink Dark Italian Roast almost exclusively)
Turns out I do not like nutty taste
Light & balanced
A good, solid coffee that I could drink daily. It's just not amazing or got that special something.
excellent- dark and rich,
I can definitely taste the caramel and nut influences in this blend. Strong blend. Good coffee but doesn't blow me away. I don't get depth from it.
Really happy with this cup. Tons of flavor as described, perfect for someone who loves dark coffee. Best cup yet.
Too sweet. Would not call this full bodied. Was rather mellow on the finish as opposed to robust as I prefer. An average coffee that is not in line with my taste. Would not buy.
Exactly what I like. Might be best ever.
Visually, this coffee was not as dark as I typically prefer when I look for a good dark roast; however, it managed to bring a unique taste to the table that I could not quite place. It was somewhere between a good medium and a good dark roast. This coffee grew on me a bit more each day. Very interesting roast for sure.
Did not like the taste! Btw, my preference is medium roast!
This was a really good coffee to take on a road trip to San Antonio.
really great chocolate back to the bold initial flavor. very soothing first cup each day.
Like it! Definitely a simple blend, not too complicated with the flavors. At first I noticed a slight "metal" taste, but after awhile I assumed that was the dark chocolate flavor. Overall, good blend.
Strong but not as strong as the Tatoosh, but stronger than the Infrared, the bitterness wasn't too bad on this one.
The chocolate flavor did not come through very strong. Personally, I was glad for that as I am not a fan of chocolate in my coffee. The nutty flavors were enjoyable.
This is a little light as far as dark roasts go, but it's very easy to drink. I've shared with people who prefer light roasts, and they all like it. Almost syrupy, this coffee is indeed quite nutty with a slight hint of caramel.
Brewed with a french press...good full body dark roast. Flavor falls off on the back end and lacks character after a few sips.
Loved the chocolate flavors.
Not oily or bitter, although I do like oily and bitter. This is still good. Smooth mouthfeel, flavor doesn't shine through with cream and honey added. More medium bodied to me.
Love it! Great sweet, full flavor.
Great rounded flavor, does excellent via machine drip or espresso
Quite good. I'm not sophisticated enough to get too much deeper but I would recommend this and buy it.
The description says "simple and straightforward", which is exactly what I wanted. This is a good old mouthful of flavor that pleases. I would say it has an emphasis on the "midrange", not as much on sweetness or burnt flavors. I like that, but want to explore some other blends as well.
Well balanced, great flavors.
Rose & Bob
Loved this coffee. The flavor stayed and almost increased as you drank a cup. Not sure this would be my go to coffee every morning but rather an afternoon cup.
Very good coffee
Very good coffee. Relatively Bold flavor, not bitter. Good body.
a good medium dark blend.. looking forward to the next selection
Just a meh coffee. Very average
I prefer a little milder tasting coffee. Just a good blend of coffees.
Very enjoyable cup of coffee
I love the rich, chocolate-y flavor of this coffee. Incredibly fresh and delicious. Maybe a little too rich to drink every morning, but a great weekend brew.
Very bold coffee. It was difficult to identify the caramel flavor but still a very good coffee. Maybe a medium blend next?
This coffee was a delicious surprise! I was a little worried about how dark this roast was but it turned out being amazing. It is so smooth and rich it knocked my coffee-socks off. Definitely one of my new favorites.
So good! One of my favorite bags I have received!
This is a pretty good cup, but not standout. 3.5 stars
Really good! Love the nutty flavor.
Prefer last week.
Great Body and flavor with a mild finish
Good but it didn't sweep me off my feet. I did appreciate that it had no bitterness
This coffee was a perfectly timed flavor. With the holidays cuisine including heavy flavors and food, this coffee provided a light change each morning. While it is an intense roast, I found the chocolate hints and the brown sugar front appealing and a nice shift.
Wonderful coffee with subtle chocolate notes. Of the ones sent to me thus far, this is a favorite.
Really like this one. I can see how this is made to appeal to a wide audience. Straight down the middle, but that is nice to wake up to!
