The Papua New Guinea Sigri AA was carefully roasted for you by Halfwit Coffee Roasters. This fully washed coffee was grown by the Sigri Estate in the Wahgi Valley region of Papua New Guinea between 1,500 meters above sea level. In the cup, this coffee has rich and full bodied notes of chocolate and caramel, perfect for enjoying on a chilly morning.
Upon my first taste, my initial reaction was that it was a little too earthly (although truthfully, I'm not entirely sure "earthly is the correct word). At times I almost caught a slight bitter taste as well. As I continued to sample the coffee over the next several days, I think my palate began to warm up to the flavors a little bit more. So, I'm not sure if it was the initial surprise of the taste, or if I truly would prefer other flavors. I was also surprised I didn't latch onto this one more, I think chocolate and coffee are the perfect combination!
There's something nutty and rich about this one that I love. This is also the first coffee I've brewed from home and didn't feel I needed to put milk in, which was a really nice change of pace. I love that it's dark but not at all bitter.
A little to mild for my taste the flavors not standing out to me. Has a great aroma though.
I don't find it to be very smooth....slightly bitter....and not as rich and full bodied as I'd hoped. It's just ok....I wouldn't purchase....

I really enjoyed this coffee! It was both the style I enjoy drinking and had flavors in there that complimented the chocolatey taste I enjoy.
We loved these beans!
Delicious taste and smell, Flavorful, mild, not too bold. Daily driver.
I really like this coffee...it drinks/looks like a lighter roast but it has a full and rich coffee flavor. Best of both worlds to me, combining a good coffee taste while maintaining easy drinkability instead of bitterness and avoiding the feeling that I'm drinking something that will burn a hole in my stomach lining. I think the chocolate and caramel notes contribute to that smooth taste.
Such a delightful treat. We got through this bag very quickly.
Good coffee and agree with the full bodied descriptor.
I enjoyed this batch a lot. The flavors were not the most unique but quite tasty. It had a nice balance of acidity.
This coffee tastes a lot like milk chocolate: very smooth and sweet. I brewed with a Chemex.
