The Ethiopia Beriti was carefully roasted for you by Huckleberry Roasters. This fully washed coffee was sourced from the growing region of Yirgacheffe in Ethiopia and was produced by the various small holder producers at 2,000 - 2,350 meters. We love this coffee for its bright, nuanced notes with a floral aroma, citrus acidity and chocolate sweetness.
I liked the roast better than my first one, Kenya Karuthi. I could brew more flavors out from these beans with AeroPress. However, I started this review too late, so I am getting forgot on the taste.
Smooth, easy on the palate type of flavor.
This was definitely more of a medium roast which was disappointing. I think the floral and citrus notes would have been more prominent with a lighter roast.
Not bad...but it's too light
Mellow and bright. It has a subtle fruitiness and honey flavor, with a refreshing level of citrus.
just what i was looking for; lots of great flavor; mild, with a floral/fruity taste at the end. some chocolate taste up front.
The best coffee I've had so far. My wife notes it was a little sour. Not sure if that's yergacheffe style or my brewing skills. Either way I love it and I've always heard good things about Huckleberry and this confirms them.
I felt this coffee was very middle of the road for me, the flavor notes felt somewhat muted or bland. Was hoping for so much more.
Really, really liked this one. Usual more of a natural process Ethiopian fan, but this one was really great.
