This is the Brazil Blue Diamond brought to you by La Colombe. This coffee was sourced from the coffee growing region of Cerrado in Brazil. Through persistent dedication to coffee quality, various small producers produced a spectacular crop of coffee. This coffee was grown at an altitude of 800 - 1,300 meters and was selected among the best of the pulped natural coffees this year. This cup is fantastically full bodied, with notes of chocolate and baking spices.
favorite to date. would happily drink this coffee every morning.
Very interesting light coffee. Very nice copper color when brewing expresso. Hints of peanut butter.
I like this one better than the kickapoo.
This coffee was extremely smooth. I like the chocolate flavor and the full body. Not too bitter or fruity. I made it both hot and as an iced coffee and maintains it consistency. Great pick!
Very enjoyable coffee!
Nice full body. However, it is not terribly interesting in flavor.
It had more earthy notes to it and tasted more on the burnt side. I wouldn't say it was either acidic or sour. I felt it lacked a lot of flavor. I felt it was more of a bland coffee.
Best of all the coffees I've tried through MistoBox
Bold and bright.
Best "mouth feel" I've had in a while.
would love a repete
Good aroma and taste. I liked it.
This is absolutely amazing. It is exactly the kind of coffee I look for and enjoy. It was a nice medium, not in any way overwhelming, body. The coffee was flavorful and not too acidic or bitter.
Very smooth coffee with little bitterness. The nutty notes were really nice, but it felt a bit too mild overall for my tastes.
WOW. What a great tasting coffee the Brazil Blue Diamond is. I thought this would be a little more lighter than I hoped, but as soon as I took the first sip you are engulfed with the chocolate notes but still maintain the balance of not being too overwhelmingly bold like a dark roast. Would definitely buy these beans again!
When black, quite tart and fruity. With milk, a light chocolate/cocoa taste dominates. Not bad, but I found it a little bit one dimensional.
A good tasting coffee, but doesn't seem special. I don't really pick up the tasting notes described.
Loved this coffee! The chocolate notes stood out and it wasn't an overpowering dark roast.
This is good and balanced. I think I would prefer brighter flavor overall.
Great coffee. Neither bitter nor sour. I would say it's smooth. I could immediately taste the chocolate. I liked this coffee better but it should be noted that I'm learning to use my Behmor Brazen coffeemaker. I reduced the pre-soak time and lowered the brewing temperature to 202. Think I'm getting it right; the flavors are great.
Smooth with no acidic aftertaste. However, for my palate I prefer the Ethiopian coffee with more of a fruity taste.
We enjoyed this one and could taste the spices. We enjoy La Colombe overall - often drink Corsica and have tried Nizza before as well.
Just couldn't get into this one...too light.
Very good. Beans have great aroma through the grinding process. Flavor is complex, fruity? and could use more nuttiness. Not as full bodied as I want, or as aromatic to taste.
Tasted less rick than the previous coffee
Better than the first and less acidic, but still more acidic than I'd prefer. I like the pronounced chocolate, but this is a bit lighter in color and flavor than I tend to prefer. Does using a Chemex contribute to that? I think I should transition to darker roasts.
Well balanced and chocolately.
Very fresh, with an interesting sour flavor, perfect medium roast. Thank you, delicious!
I really liked the Ethiopian coffee (my last coffee). I'm not sure what exactly, but I don't love this one as much. I wonder if we could try a bean/roast similar to the Ethiopian one (or branch out in a different direction than the Brazil Blue Diamond), and have it from Colombia (or Central/South America). Thanks!!
really enjoyed this coffee, full-bodied, not too acidic, very nice cocoa profile. would be perfect with a slightly darker roast
I didn't get a chance to review this while I still had some left but it was a good, chocolatey coffee as described.
If i could i would give this closer to 3.5 stars. It was good but nothing stood out as special. Nice chocolatey flavors
I don't know if I was brewing it wrong, but this coffee just tasted very 'weak'. I would have to add an extra gram to all my normal recipes in order to get the desired strenght.
This coffee was better than our last one. The beans smelled delicious when we opened the bag and not as oily. The coffee brewed heavy and nutty with a roasted flavor. It was a bit too nutty for our taste. The description mentioned notes of chocolate, which I was excited about, but did not notice.
Really liked this one
Pretty good, much better dulled down in a coffee maker over the Chemex where it was a little heavy/bitter/burnt. Maybe a little too full-bodied for my taste.
This is very good it just has one taste it may the chocolate noes I'm not loving as much
This coffee was fantastic! Loved it and it was a hit at Christmas. Thank you so much for introducing it to me :).
Good, but not my favorite.
I enjoyed the chocolate flavor
I enjoyed the first coffee more. Blue Diamond was too acidic and bitter and not as full bodied as described. That said, it may be a more appropriate evening coffe rather than morning.
lighter than expected. Still a decent cup, but not something I would normally drink.
Delicious...really enjoy all the flavors that come together in this coffee.
Loved this -- smooth, rich but not too dark for us. The chocolate flavors and light spices are great, especially during this season.
Hmmmmm interesting. It super strong tasting so I don't taste any of these baking spice, chocolate or whatever. It's all overwhelming and not as much a pick me up with the caffeine. Good but not really special.
It was an okay coffee, it went stale much faster than any other cup I have stored. Not my favorite but it was okay
Ok for a change up but not something I would want on a daily basis, woody taste and a bit bitter, no chocolate flavors
Well rounded full body cup. Not a dark and chocolatey as other roast i've been receiving.
Great, smooth, balanced cup of coffee. Lots of flavor, but blended very evenly for a smooth taste.
Much much better!
Wow, this had really complex notes. Was very smooth and contained a lot of natural sweetness. Really pleasant blend.
This tasted thick when it came through the Chemex - I generally prefer something a little lighter. A cup my gruff dad would enjoy, but not so much for me.
full bodied. almost syrupy. enjoyable and warming
I really liked the body of this one, and the spices is a nice touch with the chocolate. It tasted very smooth.
Very smooth. Created a very nice cup through a Chemex. Perfect all-around cup of coffee. I gave it three stars because nothing really stood out but, it didn't make it a bad coffee.
Good balanced flavors, I enjoyed the spice alongside the chocolate.
Excellent. Probably the best coffee we've received so far. Have made cold brew and French press with it and both have been wonderful. This has a nice earthy base note, no acidity, some smokey notes, perfect.
This has been as excellent roast to drink. Probably my second favorite out of everything I have tried. Bold smooth flavor but with no bitterness at all. Great cup of coffee
Simply reading the description of this coffee, my husband I thought we would love it. That was not the case however. It wasn't bitter necessarily but I likened the taste of it to the smell of old cigarette butts. I like the first coffee we received much more.
I liked this coffee, but not as much as my previous order of hondouras comucap. I am looking forward to the costa rican!
Good, solid, workhorse of a coffee. Good flavor, body, and character makes it a great every day coffee. Not quite the interest or complexity to make it something I crave.
Our favorite cup yet! Perfect balance of an all day coffee we would like to drink. Love the hints of chocolate and the nuttiness of the peanuts - reminiscent of peanut butter cups. Acidity is perfectly balanced for our palate.
full-bodied cup of mellow complexity, just right. A little tartness and sweetness to round out the full chocolate and toasty caramel
Quite good. Bold and tasty.
Really loved this as a cold brew. Loved the spice
We are typically more of a fruity/acidity loving house but this one was very delicious. Of all the coffees that have been on the sweeter, heavier side, this was by far the best. The chocolate notes are well balanced and delicious. We get hints of cinnamon and graham cracker. For us personally, it's a 4 star because we prefer lighter coffees but the coffee itself is 5 stars.
SO SMOOTH. Dark just the way I like, but so little of the bitterness I usually attribute to darker roasts.
Was much better than the fist shipment I enjoyed this shipment much more. Had more strength and character on the front end which us perhaps most important for me. Overall a very drinkable cup, perhaps nothing spectacular, but certainly someth I ng I would drink again and could drink regularly.
a bit too strong for meI did like anodyne peru centrocafe better
a bit too strong for me
Much lighter in flavor from the previous month's selection but still delicious. Is not strong enough to cold brew. Light mocha aftertaste is nice.
Really enjoyed this as a cold brew
Really good and well balanced. Very much enjoyed.
Nicely balanced, deep and roasty cacao. Pleasant lack of acidity.
My husband thinks this is too fruity; I think it tastes almost burnt. It's drinkable, but we're not fans and wouldn't get this again.
Really great full bodied coffee, that stands well on its own. Great from a Chemex or drip, but the chocalately goodness is amazing either way.
We like this coffee. A good balance between flavor and acid. I would prefer it a little richer, bolder in coffee flavor but, all in all, an enjoyable cup.
Definately full-bodied but very smooth, almost creamy. This one would make an excellent all day long coffee.
My favorite so far - nice smooth coffee flavor.
I enjoyed this coffee the first few times I made it. The more I made it though, I seemed to get tired of it quickly. Good coffee overall, but I'm going with three stars since I have liked others more.
Smooth, with strong flavors of nuts and berries. It's almost like trail mix - dried blueberries, roasted nuts, and chocolate. The nuttiness is a little strong for my palette.
This bean makes a fantastic cup of coffee.
This is quite bland. Beans have a nutty smell, but that doesn't translate when brewed.

I think we just don't like this roaster. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't memorable by any stretch of the imagination either.
Not the best coffee - beans tasted a little off-putting when brewed. No notable tasting notes.
Rebecca & Bill
Kind of muddy-tasting and not especially interesting.
the chocolate notes make this one a winner around our home. amazing!
Really like this one -- definitely my favorite so far. Smooth and round. If it had just a little more fullness in the body it would be perfect.
I didn't really like this one very much. It tastes kind of thin, even when I brew it stronger than I usually do, and I noticed both a raw peanut scent and taste that I found kind of offputting. I'll finish the bag, but I wouldn't buy it again.
My favorite coffee from Mistobox so far! Great favors in this one, the flavor profile on the package lists candy bar and no joke that is one of the flavors that come through.
Dislike the bland smokey taste.
SO SMOOTH! Perfect roast of coffee.
I like the boldness of this coffee, as well as the dark, smoky flavor.
Really nice, sweet upfront flavor. The end of the cup gets richer and finishes really deep
This one was amazing. It's exactly what I'm looking for in taste and balance
nice flavors, would have liked it a bit bolder
Waiting to try this one.
I do like this one, but its darker or more full bodied than I would prefer. Hard to "taste" it as much as other, lighter cups.
Not impressed with the first cup. I had to increase the amount of coffee used to acquire a more full body. I may be less fond of this coffee because I typically only buy Indonesian and African coffees , many of which are earthy and very full bodied.
I wasn't mad as this coffee at all. Seth, you were right, I wouldn't have this on my top list of favorite coffees, but it was still good nonetheless. The tasting note that was predominate to me was peanuts.
very good flavor, the whole family is enjoying it
rich, great body, a lot of flavor but not overwhelming or perfume-y.
A little to lite. A little darker in the future would make this perfect

My husband loved this coffee! Great job. I would maybe like something a hint chocolate-y or bolder, but not too acidic. We both have sensitive stomachs to acidic coffee so the last roast was perfect. We have really enjoyed it.
Drinkable, but still not nearly dark enough for me.
This coffee is amazing! It is full bodied and extremely fresh. It was roasted 4 days before we got it and the bloom is incredible. Definitely loving this bag.
the baking spice flavor wasnt my favorite. Tend to prefer more nutty, jungle blends
Yum. Flavor and aroma as they should be. As a bonus, and mild caution, it takes less to still get the most when making a cup.
This one is awesome!
This is a great coffee with a slight smokey undertone. It is something you just have to try. The holiday type spices are not so prevalent with pour over method,
Taste was there but the experience wasn't. I want coffee from roasters that I don't have access to.
As bold as they come, a bit too roasted for me.

TL;DR: Great coffee, smells like peanut butter, tastes like tobacco and chocolate.Upon opening the beans and dumping them into a one-way valve coffee jar (for preservation), I noticed a strong peanut butter smell, almost like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. After grinding (blade) the beans and brewing in a standard drip coffee maker, the aroma was similar to toffee or walking by a Karmelkorn in the mall. I was worried the flavor would be too sweet, but it wasn't. Drinking the coffee black, It has an initial almond flavor followed by a strong tobacco flavor (which I'm not as big a fan of, but may warm up to). I would describe the after-taste as dark chocolate. Overall, I like it a lot, but would be interested in similar coffees minus the strong tobacco flavor (personal taste).
This is out of my normal comfort zone for coffee, because of the smokiness. It's not my favorite but I'm happy to be able to try it!
Heather- I love how full bodied this coffee is! I taste quite a bit of spice, and some woodiness/bark flavors. There is definitely chocolate there, and this coffee almost reminds me of a snickers bar. I could imagine drinking this coffee on a brisk morning after a night of camping. I think the smells of the campfire would compliment Brazil Blue Diamond!
