The Ethiopia Kayon Mountain was carefully roasted for you by Topeca Coffee Roasters. This fully washed coffee was sourced from the growing region of Guji in Ethiopia and was produced by various small holder producers at 1,900 - 2,100 meters. We love this coffee brewed as a pour -over, like the Kalita Wave, Chemex, or V60, to highlight its nuanced notes of chocolate with bright and delicate high notes of fruits and flowers.
This is a very good coffee. I really liked the lightness to this one, balanced with a very clean natural coffee flavor. Very easy to drink, no crazy flavors to distract the experience. Just good, clean, natural coffee!
Slight fruitiness and mild acidity that made for a solid cup of coffee via the V60 or the Chemex.
Complex in the best way with definite notes of berry and chocolate.
I never knew the distinction that is present in coffee grown in different regions until I joined Mistobox. This was a good roast just different than what I might expect coffee to taste like.
This was a great coffee, really fruity and had a great mouth feel. I really liked the roast profile on this coffee, it captured some really great things in the coffee. A great coffee through the V-60, Kalita wave, and even the Clever.
Though I was a little confused as to why, since it was shipped on a Wednesday (January 4), they sent me coffee roasted from the previous week (Decmeber 30), not that it was bad, just wondering.
This coffee was much better than my previous coffee through my subscription and even one of my more favorite coffees that I have had from Topeca in the past.

This coffee was good, but I had a hard time getting it dialed in. I made it perfectly maybe twice, and really enjoyed it, otherwise, it was really chocolatey, maybe too much, I played around with grind size and immersion length on this one.
Love this coffee! Such a unique flavor profile compared to most other Ethiopian roasts I've had. The chocolate note comes through as soon as it hits my tongue. I get grapefruit the longer I let it sit in my mouth and the finish is a great acidity while
Still being smooth. Love the complexity of this cup and it still has a brightness and light mouthfeel to it. Yum.
Definitely good, but the flavors are perhaps a little too delicate for my worn down taste buds - it comes across just a bit bland.
Very nice coffee. It's fruity, smooth, just slightly acidic. I agree that it tastes better when brew ed as pour over than with the aeropress, for example.
I really enjoyed this coffee, although if I had to choose I think the sugar skull blend would win. I think it's because that one was more acidic (or something) cause it seemed to have a little more sharpness to the flavor. This coffee however was also really good, it seemed sweet but in a different way. I liked the fruityness to it as well as the light body.
It's smooth. Don't know if I like the chocolate hint, as it doesn't taste as smooth.
