This is the Ethiopia Limu Gera brought to you by Kaldi's Coffee Roasting Co. This fully washed coffee was grown by the Gera Estate in the Limu region of Ethiopia between 1,800 - 2,100 meters above sea level. We love this coffee for its nuanced notes of caramel, black tea, and citrus and bright overall quality.
This brew was lighter than the previous one and tasted more like strong tea than coffee.
lime notes were present but tapered off day by day, not bad but wasn't a huge fan of the black tea notes
Miss this coffee shop so much!
Excellent, big, acidic, great aroma. My favorite so far.
Continuing to enjoy each shipment. I do not feel compelled to rank one above another as each provides the experience of different aroma and taste of each provides enjoyment with each cup. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This one did not make an exceptional pour-over; and the drip was similarly average. The tea-like notes in this roast came off to me as "weak coffee flavor" and nothing punched through the flavor profile. However, this did make some of the best moka pot I've ever had. The more concentrated brew method served this coffee very well. Espresso pulled from this one was similarly solid. It struck a balance in those brewing methods that many coffees overshoot by a mile. Pleasant surprise.
I made this as espresso-strength black coffee with my Aeropress. It was just OK.
Great well balanced coffee.
Pretty good cup of coffee. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. Nothing really negative to say. A little too much body tasted a little over extracted. My have been better if we changed our French roast timing
Really enjoyed this coffee and the caramel and black tea notes. While we both enjoy East African coffees, we have grown to appreciate a more suttle citrus note.
This was a very different coffee than I have tried before. It was good. The citrus was a bit to much for me, but it was a pleasant diversion from what one would normally expect in a cup of coffee. I thought it was a very good roast for breakfast
This coffee is amazing. I can actually taste lime like citrus and black tea and caramel as described in the label. Delicious
