This is the Ethiopia Uraga brought to you by Ruby Coffee Roasters. This fully washed coffee was grown by small holder producers in the Guji region of Ethiopia between 1,900 - 2,200 meters above sea level. We love this coffee for its nuanced notes of peaches, honey, and floral aroma with a bright overall quality.
I had a harder time getting this one dialed in for pour over, but found 25 g of ground coffee (ground at 14 on my Bartaza Encore) and 340 g of total water (bloomed at 50 g for 30 secs, total brew time about 2:45 / 3 minutes) to work pretty well.
Nothing bad to say about this one. Not as flavor forward as I expected it to be and usually prefer though. I found the notes of peach & honey as described and the floral aroma as described, but I had to pay closer attention to find them.
Make no mistake, I found this to be a really good, high quality coffee. Prefer it as my afternoon cup rather than first thing in the morning though.
This is a very good washed Ethiopian coffee. The folks at Ruby know how to roast and because of their meticulous attention to detail, all the flavor notes described really shined through.
It has a bit of a sour (lemon) first taste that I thought I liked at first but became irritating toward the end of the cup.
Had a hard time brewing anything that I'd describe as fruity floral or bright. Just kind of dull to me.
Good. I wasn't blown away.
I love this coffee so far! It fits its description in that it has honey and peach notes, with maybe even some light hints of strawberry. It has a juicy body and is a really refreshing cup of coffee. I'd definitely want this coffee again!
I really wanted to like this coffee more. The flavors are there, smooth peach tea with a lot of honey coming through the body. That honey bump really does create a nice profile that plays well with a savory blue cheese as an after dinner pairing, but I think I prefer something a bit more fruit forward for my morning cup.
Awesome coffee, super fruity and flavorful. My favorite coffee yet!
This coffee was good but not one of my favorites. I'm not sure what specifically, but the taste just wasn't my thing. It was also a little lighter than I prefer.
Delicious, really wanted to try this. It did not disappoint.
A little tangy, floral, and bright. Great morning cup as pour over.
produces a very smooth cup of coffee, kalita helps it shine. Most of the notes are very faint but still a nice all around coffee
This one was good!! Loved the peach notes and honey smoothness.
