The Ethiopia Wazzala was carefully roasted for you by Ceremony Coffee Roasters. This fully washed coffee was grown by the various small holder producers in the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia between 1,800 - 2,000 meters above sea level. We love this coffee for its nuanced notes of tropical fruits with a great citrus acidity and a juicy body.
This coffee was different than what I was expecting from the tasting notes. When I see Ceremony I know I'm always going to get something good. This coffee in particular from them was something I had never tasted. I brewed this Ethiopian mostly on a Kalita Wave 185. The longer the brew time, the more flavors that came out as it cooled. Most of the brews I was getting an acidic mouthfeel and taste. Definitely had berries, but somewhat muted. No particular fruit note, but was definitely juicy and flavorful throughout. Definitely a different Yirgacheffe than I've had this year.
