The Ethiopia Aricha was carefully roasted for you by Tandem Coffee Roasters. This full natural coffee was sourced from the growing region of Yirgacheffe in Ethiopia and was produced by the various small holder producers at 1,800 - 2,000 meters. Natural Ethiopian coffees tend to be mind-altering experiences, with fruit bomb flavors - like the juicy blueberry notes that shine in this cup with floral high notes of orange zest and vanilla.
Really good natural. Has all the fruity sweetness you expect from a good natural, with a nice vanilla finish.
I really enjoyed this roast from Tandem Coffee. I've been hoping I would receive a bag from these guys at some point because I've heard a lot of good things about this roaster. This coffee was bomb but there wasn't much to differentiate it from other quality Ethiopias.
Everything about this coffee was AMAZING
The zest of this coffee is evident - and really good! I love the blueberry undertones. That being said, this coffee does not age very well and quickly lost a lot of its appeal after the first few days. I would try another coffee with these flavor notes again.
I love unwashed Yirgacheffes, probably my favorite coffee! (Not saying I want one every time – I do like exploring other regions/processes/varietals – but please keep these coming with some frequency.) This one is more complex than some of the others I've had, more than just in-your-face blueberry. I both like and dislike that. There's more to think about here, more flavors to explore, but I do love that in-your-face blueberry some Yirgs have too. A wonderful selection - thanks for sending it!
This is exactly the kind of coffee I love. It is everything a natural ethiopia should be. The aroma is just bursting with fruit and floral fragrances, which translates into a taste reminiscent of blueberries and fermented fruit--like plum wine. It has a nice even body that allows the flavor to linger on the tongue after your sip, but not so long that it becomes stale. The cup has a nice acidity to it that makes the flavor bright and very forward.
Everything a coffee should be with the volume turned to 11. Rich and fruity at the same time.
Nice coffee although notes aren't as "clean" as I prefer with a natural coffee as such. Does well in full immersion
This was good but in comparison to Good Folks we liked the smoothness, complexity and fruitiness of Good Folks more. This one seemed like a young, bright and lively coffe but less depth of flavor.
Very enjoyable! The coffee was well roasted, on the lighter side. The smell was that of blueberry pancakes with maple syrup. After the smell, the taste did not disappoint. The taste was fruity with a syrupy mouth-feel. Well done!
This is a really flavorful cup of coffee with a lot of hints of fruit. I love it.
My third coffee here and its a charmer. Blueberries with a vanilla cream finish. Exactly what I was looking for. Its been a while since Ive experienced a blueberry coffee since they're so distinct. But this bean does single origin blueberry coffee justice. A fairly complex cup where it just all comes together and makes me excited to brew the next day. It may be a long while before I have another blueberry coffee, but this bag will be cherished til the last swish.
