This is the Kenya Kangocho AA brought to you by Augies Coffee Roasters. This fully washed coffee was sourced from the growing region of Nyeri in Kenya and was produced by the various small holder producers at 1,400 - 1,600 meters. This is a fantastic coffee that has layers of complexity, bringing notes of deep brown sugar and raisins and a tropical fruit acidity like pineapple.
Like the official tasting notes mention, pineapple fruitiness dominates this coffee. When brewed with a siphon pot using a metal filter, the juiciness is accentuated. The flavor profile becomes more complex when brewed using a Wave of V60, which brings out a sweeter maple finish.
