This is the Ecuador Sidra brought to you by Kickapoo Coffee Roasters. This fully washed coffee was sourced from the growing region of Nanegal, Quito in Ecuador and was produced by the Marco Morocho at 1,300 meters. This coffee is delicate and bright, with a deep brown sugar sweetness and notes of citrus, apples and flowers on the high end.
Quite balanced with a mixture of a toasty flavor and a little acidity. For my taste, it is not outgoing or aggressive enough and lacks pungency and fruitiness.
This is an excellent coffee in a v60. The Sidra varietal is a very nice change of pace from the usual Bourbon or Caturra. The cup most definitely has all of the qualities mentioned here and makes for an extremely pleasant sipping coffee. My one tip for anyone else brewing this coffee is to go a little coarse with the grind like you would for a light-roasted natural Ethiopian. I would highly recommend this coffee!
Lovely, bright, and full bodied. Deep dark, dried fruits and some orange citrus. Super well balanced and easy to dial in the brew with my Kalita Wave.
