The Honduras David Mancia was carefully roasted for you by Coava Coffee Roasters. This fully washed coffee was sourced from the growing region of Santa Barbara in Honduras and was produced by the David Mancia at 1,600 - 1,650 meters. The cup is balanced, clean and sweet with notes of black tea, sugar cane sweetness and fruited acidity.
I'm pretty disappointed that I received a coffee from my city. The reason I subscribe to Mistobox is to discover new roasters from around the country, I could have gotten this for less at their location. The coffee itself is decent, the floral fruity notes as subtle and the more of the cup I drank the more I tasted them, though not nearly as much as I would have liked. I'm loosing faith in Mistobox and I really don't want to. Hopefully you can restore it with the next selections.
Balanced and clean and pretty much an excellent coffee all the way around. I've heard good things about Coava; finally glad to try one of their offerings and it did not disappoint.
Exquisitely delicious. Makes me miss Portland.
On my initial tasting, I wasn't that impressed. There wasn't any unique factors in it that stood out. Just a smooth, simple coffee. I've made it on kalita wave, v60, and chemex and I will say I enjoy it more now with the Chemex. I still think its not falling under the category of notes I like in my coffee (berry notes found in ethiopians - idido, banko gotiti, sidama), but it does have a sweetness and balance that has me rating it as 'good'.
